Brett Patten - Founder/CEO

Born and raised in Boston, Mass., Brett Patten graduated from Newburry Collegewith a degree in the culinary arts. With an award winning career spanning nearly 30 years, Brett began his career at the prestigious Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham, Mass. From there he enjoyed growing his talents at several four and five star resorts and hotels such as the Pan Pacific Hotel in San Diego, CA and Le Meridien of Coronado in San Diego, CA. Moving back to the east coast, Brett took positions at the four star Longboat Key Club & Hotel in Longboat Key, FL and later at the prestigious Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club in Virginia Beach, VA where he worked as the Executive Chef for 9 years. Starting the next chapter of Brett's illustrious career, he has now stepped out of the kitchen to create what is known today as the award winning restaurant concept "Fire & Vine." Brett enjoys traveling and skiing, spending time with his wife Lori, and following the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Marc Taylor - Executive Chef

After moving from his hometown of Churchland, Virginia, to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in the early 1990’s, Marc broke into the culinary world and has never looked back.  An avid surfer, Marc spent his mornings surfing the North Carolina waters and his evenings refining his cooking skills in several of the areas most exclusive restaurants.  Taking his passion for reqional ingredients and a desire for new challenges, Marc packed his bags and headed west, stopping in Colorado.  Enjoying the winter seasons snowboarding, Marc cooked in both Breckenridge and Keystone Colorado.  Looking for warmer weather, clearer waters and a more consistent surf, Marc settled in Puerto Rico where he stayed for 2 years developing an interest in regional Caribbean/Latin ingredients .  Locally, Executive Chef Marc Taylor most recently created a name for himself as the Sous Chef at the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia where he worked for 7 years before venturing off to create the culinary personality of Fire & Vine.

Chris Miller - General Manager

A Virginia Beach native, Chris graduated from Elon University in 2001.  Over the course of 8 years, Chris developed his professional skills at the prestigious Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club , first as a waiter and bartender (for which he was featured in the October 2002 issue of Market Watch Magazine) and later as the Food & Beverage Director.  Fire & Vine is his first venture on his own.  Chris enjoys writing and has written pieces on food culture as well as music and has been published in Ninevolt Magazine, Portfolio Magazine, Landmarks of Hampton Roads, and various internet websites.  In his off time, Chris who is an avid baseball fan, enjoys watching the New York Mets, listening to jazz music, cooking, and reading.

Louis Dragas - COO / Facilities Manager

Louis Dragas is a native of Virginia Beach, who graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College.  Louis worked his way through the ranks at Dragas Homes from Site Cleanup to Director of Production and all of the steps in between.  He also is an active Virginia Real Estate agent capable of buyer and seller representation for commercial and residential Real Estate.  He also does property management for the Dragas Group of commercial and residential Real Estate.
